                Empowering non-formal schools in slum areas

                The Action Foundation (TAF) is a youth-led NGO supporting children with physical disabilities and their families. In 2015, TAF launched the project targeting low-cost, non-formal schools in poor residential neighbourhoods. Since 2015, more than 1,600 children with and without disabilities have benefitted from the project.

                Sharing personal experiences to improve the quality of inclusive teaching

                The programme focuses on teachers and other providers of school services.                 APPEHL follows a multilevel approach to make mainstream schools more inclusive.                 Promoting community-based Inclusive Education

                Sama Nepal focuses on a "base school", which includes a care centre and/or a resource class in which children with special needs are enrolled. From there they participate in mainstream school activities according to their abilities. From 2016 to 2019, 222 children with disabilities have benefited from this support.

                QR Codes used to inform voters who are blind or deaf about voting procedures

                In the run-up to the 2020 local elections in Ukraine, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) joined forces with the Central Election Commission of Ukraine to develop information posters with QR codes. These were linked to audio and sign language formats and were used by approximately 6,000 people.
