In its home country of Austria, the Zero Project runs initiatives for inclusive employment, such as events and publications. Moreover, it has a tradition of fostering collaboration with important stakeholders; the Austrian Parliament hosts an annual event with key decision-makers to advance innovation in disability inclusion.

Zero Project Conference 2026 Parliament Event

At the Austrian Parliament

Since 2020, the Zero Project, has organised an annual event together with the Austrian Parliament to promote dialogue with key decision-makers and opinion leaders in politics, as well as civil society, businesses, media, and academia. Since 2023, the event has been held in the historic parliament building on Vienna’s Ringstrasse. 

The 2025 event focused on a selection of 77 Zero Project Awardees from 45 countries. They presented their innovations to members of the Austrian Parliament and other opinion leaders from civil society and the business sector. They were selected individually by parliamentarians from all political parties represented in parliament. The parliamentarians then also made a pledge to support the selected innovation in its implementation in Austria.

    Employment of persons with disabilities

    Business Dialogues

    Since 2017, Zero Project Austria has been organizing events across the country in collaboration with partner organizations to inspire entrepreneurs, managing directors, and executives to employ more people with disabilities.
    The Zero Project Corporate Dialogues explore the opportunities that arise when people with disabilities are employed.

    Austrian Leading Company Inclusion Award

    ALC Inclusion Prize

    Since 2017, an inclusion award has been presented as part of Austria’s prestigious Austrian Leading Companies (ALC) Award. Initiated by Die Presse, KSV1870, and PwC, and supported by the Essl Foundation, it honors outstanding efforts to integrate people with disabilities into the workforce across Austria and its federal states.

    Annual cooperation with “Die Presse”

    Magazine on accessibility and inclusive employment

    Zero Project Austria publishes magazines on accessibility and inclusive employment with the daily newspaper Die Presse. The magazines feature Austrian companies that demonstrate exemplary inclusive employment and are released annually on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
