Dr. Birendra Raj Pokharel, former chairperson of National Federation of the Disabled-Nepal has been serving DECN by his expertise in promoting best module of inclusive education policy and initiatives of disability mainstreaming in development agenda. As a founder of ADRAD, his role has been recognised for pushing the ratification of CRPD and drafting the Act of rights of persons with disabilities as well as ensuring political rights of persons with disabilities in the constitution of Nepal.
