Melissa Malzkuhn is a storyteller, digital strategist, and creative director fascinated by languages, digital and interactive technologies, that creates new knowledge. She directs the development of research-based products, including award-winning bilingual storybook apps designed for early language acquisition for Deaf children. As Founder and Creative Director of Motion Light Lab, Melissa Malzkuhn leads projects intersecting creative literature and digital technology to create immersive learning experiences. She leads the VL2 Storybook Creator program that provides training and development of bilingual storybook apps in multiple languages. Melissa Malzkuhn received her MFA in Visual Narrative from the School of Visual Arts, and her MA in Deaf Studies from Gallaudet University. Melissa is a founder of Ink & Salt LLC, a creative production and digital publishing company, and one of the lead developers of The ASL App, an app that teaches conversational American Sign Language.
