Elisabeta MOLDOVAN

Elisabeta Moldovan grew up in residential institutions from Romania untill the age of 25. In 2003 she left the state system, with the help of a foundation, and then she worked and received social services from a non profit for persons with disabilities. From 2012 she lives alone, in a rented appartment, and co-founded the „Something To Say” Association. She became a self-advocate, fighting for the rights of persons with disabilities, despite her own problems, adversity and pains. She describes her life in the graphic novel Becoming Eli, which could be the becoming of all the others abandoned as babies and forgotten in the so-called protection system.
