Jonathan HASSELL
Founder at Hassell Inclusion Ltd.
Only 20% of websites and mobile apps are accessible to everyone. I am passionate about improving this. My mission is to help organisations embrace the business benefits of inclusive design and see their customers and staff with disabilities thrive as a result. I have 19 years’ experience in embedding digital accessibility into digital production teams all over the world. I led the creation of the new ISO 30071-1 accessibility standard and its British predecessor BS 8878, and regularly share my accessibility insights at international conferences. I recently published the best-selling books 'Inclusive Design for Organisations' and 'Inclusive Design for Products' which enable organisations and product managers to practically apply the principles of the International standards. With my team at Hassell Inclusion, I provide strategic accessibility transformation services to organisations worldwide, including benchmarking and strategic transformation of large organisations’ accessibility strategies, training and consultancy to embed accessibility strategically within the design & development process, user research and user testing, and leadership of innovative digital projects to make inclusion easier and cheaper to implement.
