Sangita PANT
EPSA - Entire Power in Social Action
Sangita is from Gorkha, Nepal. Incorrect hospital treatment left her permanently disabled after a fall aged 7. However she completed school and studied for a Bachelors in Sociology. She found a teaching job but was asked to leave when the school realised she had a disability. Today she feels overcoming such prejudice made her stronger. Sangita worked with two disability organisations before she got a training opportunity in Japan. This experience really boosted her confidence and she founded EPSA in 2009. So far Sangita has helped over 800 women, providing training, employment, building confidence and providing a safe place to make friends. Year of this biography: 2017
