She started her professional career teaching Accounts to undergraduate students in 1997. She spent 10 years as a lecturer which helped her acquire skills on dealing with diverse groups. In 2003, she started working as a Child Rights Officer at Central Child Welfare Office of the Government of Nepal. Since 2008, She has been working with Karuna Foundation Nepal. She is the Program Director of the Inspire2Care project which aims to prevent childhood disabilities and rehabilitate persons with disabilities in their own communities. She is responsible to develop policies and strategies for implementation of the project. She has acquired strong knowledge in the sector through her own career experiences.
