Dr. Heinz Tippl is the founder and chairman of BISI, wherein he promotes and disseminates inclusive sport in schools. Prior to this, Tippl attained his doctorate in 1996 and gained his work experience in working as a PE and Maths teacher in secondary sports schools from 1973-2010. Since 1999, Tippl has been working as a lecturer in universities in Graz, Eisenstadt and Baden. Additionally, Tippl also led the research project: “Inclusive Sports in School”, which was published in: Tippl, H. (2014): Inclusive Sports in Styrian Schools. For the last twenty years, Tippl has been supporting as a volunteer in various working areas within Special Olympics Austria, such as being the head of delegations, evaluation team in LA 2015, OK-Team WWG of SO in Austria 2017.
