May ZeinElDein Founder & President of Alhassan Foundation since 2012. Over 20 years’ experience working for different multinationals and developmental organizations with great passion for Strategic Planning. After her 18 years old son’s car accident - Alhassan - in 2011 when he became wheelchair bound, May had a complete career shift from corporate work to social entrepreneurship; mainly supporting “The Differently Abled” through Alhassan Foundation which she established with her family and friends. Within a few short years, the foundation became a successful replicable model of developmental organizations concerned with inclusion, rights and independent living of humans with physical challenges in developing countries. In 2019, May represented Egypt through Alhassan Foundation in the United Nations Head Office in Vienna where they were chosen as one of the most effective foundations worldwide. In 2021, May received the “Champion of Change” award for outstanding achievement and contribution in building a stronger Egypt. The award was presented by H.E. Louis Dumas, Ambassador of Canada to Egypt, H.E. Jose Octavio Tripp, Ambassador of Mexico to Egypt, and Dr. Per-Axel Frielingsdorf, Charge d’affaire Embassy of Sweden in Cairo. May ZeinElDein also became a disability consultant to many banks, corporates and educational entities as well as a motivational speaker representing The Differently Abled on many fronts nationally and internationally.
