James works for the City Bridge Trust, which provides grants totalling £20m per year towards charitable activity benefitting Greater London. James uses a wheelchair for his everyday mobility and has spent much of his career advocating for persons with disabilities. He believes in the importance of both policy and practice in creating a truly inclusive society, and has a long history of doing so with campaigning organisations and statutory authorities. Outside work, he is also the Chair of the Grants Committee for BBC Children in Need (London and South East) and sits on numerous advisory boards. Year of this biography: 2020
