Helene Jarmer is an educationalist, lecturer and expert in inclusion, diversity and education and training for people with disabilities. She is President of the Austrian Federation of the Deaf (since 2001), founder and managing director of ÖGS barrierefrei and a member of the Austrian Council for the Disabled and the Klagsverband. From 2009-17 she was spokeswoman for the disabled for the Green Party. Until 2018, she was a member of the board of the Green Education Workshop.
