Successful side event at the 34th Human Rights Council

17th March 2017: Zero Project Report 2017 presented at the UN Human Rights Council

On the occasion of the 34th Human Rights Council, the Permanent Mission of Austria and the International Disability Alliance, together with the Permanent Missions of Australia, Ecuador, Finland, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, Spain and Thailand, supported by the Zero Project, held a successful side event on Skills development and economic empowerment: Towards inclusive, sustainable development for all.

The event, which included powerful interventions by two youth leaders on the importance of vocational training and work, presented innovative solutions that advance access to inclusive and quality skills development and employment, and explored ways on how to strengthen work and cooperation towards “a world without barriers”.

Attended by about 40 representatives from permanent missions, international organisations and NGOs, the side event took place on 17th March 2017, at 1-3pm at Room XXVII, Palais des Nations, at the United Nations Office in Geneva.
