In 2020, Zero Project Awardee Servicio Nacional de la Discapacidad (SENADIS) launched an online accessibility training program for civil servants that offered three courses centred around:
- the Right to Universal Accessibility and challenges for Public Services;
- Universal Accessibility as a basis of Building and Public Space Regulations; and
- Universal Access to Information and Communications for the Inclusion of People with Disabilities.
Between 2020 and 2021, SENADIS has trained more than 2,000 civil servants, giving them the necessary knowledge and skills to implement accessibility requirements.
As one of 76 Zero Project Awardees from 35 countries, SENADIS will be recognized at the Zero Project Conference #ZeroCon22 in February 2022. Go to zeroproject.org/zerocon22 for more information.
