Zero Project Awardee of the Day Safaricom PLC, a mobile network operator, is making its office and sales outlets, as well as its products and services, more accessible to customers and employees. Their Diversity & Inclusion Programme includes:
(1) accessible workplace adaptations through ramps, adjustable desks and assistive technologies;
(2) training of 600 employees in Kenyan sign language;
(3) and providing mobile money transfer and payment services for users with visual impairments through Safaricom's M-Pesa service.
