Awardee of the Day:

Inter, Belgium

The pandemic raised several disability-related challenges for people with disabilities, such as increased isolation, inability to lip read due to face masks, and difficulties in social distancing.
In response, Zero Project Awardee of the Day Inter - Toegankelijk Vlaanderen, a local NGO based in Flanders, has developed initiatives to support inclusion during the pandemic, and to fight the isolation of people with disabilities.
Inter's initiatives include an online meeting platform, guidelines for the social distancing society, and accessibility guidelines for vaccination centres. Inter’s activities were widely shared by the government as well as on regional television and in local newspapers.
Watch today's #CountdownToZero video on Inter's initiatives to create accessibility for all!
Inter is one of 76 innovations from around the world that will be recognized at #ZeroCon22 for their proven and impactful commitment to remove barriers for all.
