East Asian Seminar in Tokyo – presentation

– East Asia Seminar on CRPD implementation and civil society –

On the 20 & 21 February, the Zero Project was in Tokyo, Japan to talk about the CRPD implementation and the role of civil society.

The event was organised by NAGASE Osamu, from the research Center for Ars Vivendi of Ritsumeikan University & the Professor MATSUI Akihiko, from the Graduate School of Economics of University of Tokyo.

The Innovative Practices and Innovative Policies of Zero Project which have been identified and awarded since 2013, originating in East Asia and Australia, were presented at University of Tokyo by Amelie SAUPE, Japan Representative of Zero Project. It was a great opportunity to further strenghthen and expand the network with experts of the East Asia region and to discuss future collaborations and potential partnership.

The event brought together speakers from Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mongolia, South Korea and Australia. Their was about 100 participants ranging from civil society, goverment officials, academia and legal experts.
