PROBLEMS TARGETED

The level and the quality of high technologies, online programs and mobile phones increases more and more, but its accessibility for disabled people still leaves something to be desired. The problem is that more and more everyday activities take place on the internet like for example banking transactions.

PROJECT

There are two programs:

OCAWA:

That is all over Europe the first tool, which clears up, if an Homepage is accessible for everyone, recognizes errors and tries to improve them.

OCARA:

That is a map and a route guidance system, that knows which ways and transports are accessible for whom and where are obstacles. Furthermore it has an audio response and is easy to understand and to operate.

CURRENT SITUATION & OUTLOOK

  • It is possible to evaluate it – since 2012 200 users gave feedback
  • 130 developers  und designers got a special training
  • websites are able to apply and if they are accessible OCAWA marks them with a logo on their homepage
