PROBLEMS TARGETED

Videogames exist since more than 40 years, but the access for persons with disabilities was totally ignored. This project wants to bring accessibility to video games, and also use video games in therapy and rehabilitation.

PROJECT

This project has the goal to make videogames accessible for persons with different disabilities. In some games persons with disabilities are the main characters. In addition to the possibility for persons with disabilities to play videogames some are developed especially for therapeutic purposes. One example is a game especially for children with autism where actions are shown (a girl buying popcorn in the cinema, having a good time with her family) and below the question how the girl may could feel (happy or sad).
