  • The project started in 2005

PROBLEMS TARGETED

For a lot of people visiting old churches is very expressive and formative experience, but for people with different disabilities it is beneath not at all possible to get all these expressions.

PROJECT

This exhibition makes these two churches in different ways perceptible for disabled people.

Basilique St Denis:

There are for example 70 sculptures to touch.

Ste. Chapelle de Paris:

Colours are perceivable with fabric and other materieals. There is for example the holy Judith in the bathhouse with her victims or the holy Josef, who measures the temple with the golden hoop.

CURRENT SITUATION & OUTLOOK

  • It also includes music and smells from the 13., 14. and 15 century to make it easier for the guests to put themselves in the position of the people, who spend in those days their time in this church.
  • The exhibition tours through whole France.
  • Furthermore there is already a movie, that shows the Volunteers, who lead the guests through the churches.
